Informal help arrangements tend to break down on trust: who is properly qualified, what exactly was agreed, and when should money change hands? Helpal had to answer each of those questions clearly, without making the experience feel bureaucratic for either side.
What we built
- Separate workspaces for students, experts and administrators, each with its own dashboard.
- Expert verification, quality scores and capacity limits, so new work goes to people who can take it on.
- Escrow-style payments: funds are authorised at the start and released only when work is delivered.
- Genesis AI, Helpal's in-house assistant, which reads a brief and proposes a fair price.
- Milestones, messaging, reviews, disputes and earnings, all in one place.
- Real-time messaging and notifications on secure cloud hosting.
The result
Helpal is live, with experts managing requests, milestones and payouts from their own workspace. A companion mobile app is in development.
